I trained with Frog Lotus Yoga out in Costa Rica. It is an exceptionally high quality, fully comprehensive profoundly life transforming retreat.

My teacher Vidya Jacqueline Heisel, E-RYT 500, the founder and director of the Frog Lotus Yoga International, who is a Master teacher with 35 years of Yoga teaching experience, a deep and experienced knowledge of Yogic philosophy and meditation, as well as an inspiring practitioner and gifted communicator.
She has studied for many years at ashrams in India, as well as with some of the best Yoga teachers in the West. Her life has been devoted to the study and practice of eastern philosophy, yoga and meditation and her ability to communicate this in a thorough, clear and interesting way is the very tangible result of her lifelong immersion.
During the training I was completely dedicated to the life of a yogini. I lived and breathed asana practice, yogic philosophy and history, anatomy and nutrition. I began my day with morning meditation followed by asana practice for 2 and half hours. Eating a yogic vegetarian Ayurvedic diet. Soaking up and learning all the knowledge of the original yogi's interpreting and relating it to the life of a western yogi.
My style of flow although at times vigorous, is always accessible and modifiable to the level of the student. My classes are creative and fun and vibrantly unique. I intelligently weave together my knowledge of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Yoga in a delightful and effective flow.

My teaching style is a joyful, creative and an intelligent flow style which can be easily adapted to different levels and different tempos.
I like to create a warm and comfortable environment to practice in. I encourage beginners to come and find out what all the fuss is about. I trust yoga to sell itself.
Yoga is the union of mind, body and spirit.
I am fun and bubbly my two passions in life are yoga and acting so you can only imagine the character that this creates.
Vinyasa is a dynamic and powerful style of yoga, which requires a reasonable amount of fitness, you can gain this fitness through regular practice and slowly increasing the poses you do, the intensity of each poses and the flow speed.  Each pose creates a different shape and different depth of stretch and strength depending on the individual. Everyone's body is different and no matter how far you are into a posture you will still be gaining an enormous benefit.
However yoga is  time for ones self, this is your practice and you can do as much or as little your body will allow.
At the end of the class I want my students to feel good, feel like they have done a work out, lengthened out their muscles and strengthened their body. They should feel happy, peaceful and relaxed.
All I ask is that they stay and enjoy the savasana. (Savasana - corpse pose your end of class relaxation - to help optimize all benefits.)
Vinyasa Style is a fun creative style of yoga. It uses flow to transition from pose to pose while still maintaining to feel the benefits of each pose both internally and externally.
Before coming to class I suggest not to have a heavy meal. Try to keep yourself hydrated before, during and after class. I hope to leave you feeling happy, flexible and toned.
